Camp Goodwater - Summer

What do you get if you add lots of sunshine, fun, educational activities, crafts, smiles, games and super camp counselors? You get the best-kept secret this side of the San Gabriel River... CAMP GOODWATER of course! Your children will have a memorable Summer that they will talk about and want to return to again and again!



CAMP BASICS

Ages:

Children ages 5 ( completed Kindergarten ) - 12 years old

Location:

Camp Goodwater 2008 will be based out of the Meeting Room of the Williamson County Show Barn, located in San Gabriel Park.

Dates:

 Session 1 June 2 - 6    Session 6 July 14 - 18
 Session 2 June 9 -13    Session 7 July 21-25
 Session 3 June 16-20    Session 8 July 28-Aug 1
 Session 4 June 23-27    Session 9 Aug 4-8
 Session 5 July 7 - 11    Session 10 Aug 11 - 15

 Fees:
  • $ 120 per week - Residents
  • $ 130 per week - Nonresidents
  • Early drop off and late pick-up are available for additional fees.

    Time:

    Camp programming is from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

    Supervised quiet games are offered from 7:45 - 9:00 a.m. & 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. at no additional charge. However, early drop-off (7:00 -7:45 a.m.) and late pick-up (5:15 - 6:00 p.m.) are available for an additional $5.00 each. AFTER 6:00 PM:  A $10 fee will be charged for every half-hour after 6 p.m.



    DAILY CAMP ACTIVITIES

    Each day your child will participate in a morning general assembly and planned daily activities. Snacks will also be provided each morning and afternoon.

    Throughout the week, camp activities may include group games, art-n-crafts, Challenge Course activities, archery, caving, climbing, hiking, sports, nature activities, skits and much more. Please note that most activities will be outdoors weather permitting. Please have your child dress appropriately.

    CAMPER INFO: Each day your child will need to bring:

    • A water bottle (labeled)
    • A sack lunch with two drinks (labeled)
    • A backpack to carry their cool stuff home in
    • A pair of good tennis shoes or hiking shoes (no open-toed sandals)
    • A light weight jacket
    • Souvenir money on Field trip day
    • Please have your child leave toys and video/audio equipment at home during camp (Walkman and games are allowed on Trip days, with Camp Goodwater assuming no responsibility for any lost or stolen items!)



      REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

      Registration will be accepted at:
      • Georgetown Recreation Center - 1003 N. Austin Ave.
      • Georgetown Tennis Center - 400 Serenada Drive
      • Parks & Recreation Admin. - 1101 N. College Street
      • Registration Begins:
        • 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 24th - Residents
        • 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25th - Nonresidents
        • We have limited spaces, which can only be reserved through payment and a completed Registration Form. 

          You must complete the Summer Camp Registration Form with a $50 nonrefundable deposit to secure your reservation.  The remaining balance is due in full on the Monday one-week prior to the start of the camp session.

          If payment is not received in full by this time, your child will be withdrawn from camp and the next child on the waitlist will be called. You will lose your $50 deposit. We accept cash, checks and credit cards (MC, VISA & Discover).
